Who we are.

The Cooper Do-nuts Foundation is an informal, unincorporated organization dedicated to documenting and preserving the history of Cooper Do-nuts and its significance to LGBTQ+ history in Los Angeles. We are not affiliated with any commercial donut business past or present.

02  /  Use of this site

What you may and may not do.

You may use this site for personal, non-commercial, and educational purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or republish content from this site without our permission
  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful content through any form on the site
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its infrastructure

Our content belongs to us — or is used with permission.

All content on this site — including text, photographs, logos, and design — is the property of the Cooper Do-nuts Foundation or is used with permission. Requests to reproduce photographs or archival materials for academic, journalistic, or editorial use should be directed to info@cooperdonuts.com. We consider each request individually.

What happens when you share something with us.

By submitting a memory, photograph, oral history, or other content to the Foundation, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, publish, and archive that content as part of the historical record. We will contact you before publishing any submission publicly and will credit you as you prefer. You retain ownership of your submission.

We reserve the right to decline, edit for clarity, or remove submissions that are inaccurate, harmful, or inconsistent with the Foundation’s historical mission.

Purchases and orders.

Merchandise purchases are subject to the terms presented at the time of purchase, including pricing, shipping, and return policies. All sales are final unless otherwise stated. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers.

This site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites. Links do not constitute endorsement.
